If there is no way around placing furniture in front of the radiator, make sure there is enough space between the floor, radiator and seating furniture, so that air can circulate properly. The yarns are woven crosswise over each other into a fabric according to one of the three basic weaving patterns. Depending on the pattern, this can result in a smooth or pronounced structured surface.Chenille A woven type of fabric that is very similar to velor in feel. Typical is the irregular pile and the lack of a shade in one specific direction. This three-dimensional character is caused by the many lateral hairs on the yarn used. During the weaving process, two or more threads are twisted together and additional soft fibers are incorporated. With a velvet effect and irregular direction as the end result. An important characteristic of Chenille is the so-called flattening of the fabric, also known as shading. Because the pile is crushed, the incidence of light also changes. There are a number of Chenille fabrics that should absolutely not be cleaned with water or detegents. The composition of the material must always be indicated. The rub tests must achieve a minimum of 4.5 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 105-X12, dry and wet. Lightfastness minimum 5. In some cases a minimum of 6 according to DIN EN ISO 105-B02 is required. And there are even more specifications that artificial leather must meet. What should be considered when processing artificial leather? Artificial leather is generally less strong than real leather. Therefore, there are limitations on employability in the industry. Strong bends can split the top layer. Using too thick needles and stitching can cause artificial leather to tear. What should be paid attention to by the users of artificial leather? PVC is in itself a hard material. By adding plasticisers, PVC has much smoother properties. The plasticizers settle between the molecules and make the product quasi lighter. When these plasticizers escape, the surface dries out and is irreparably damaged. This process is enhanced by working with unsuitable cleaners.Damage from hydrolysis Hydrolysis is the splitting of a chemical compound with the absorption of water. The polyester chains in PUR synthetic leather can be split by hydrolysis. This process is irreversible. This process can be caused by regular cleaning with too much water or by excessively high humidity. The greater the proportion of polyester, the greater the chance of hydrolysis. Wiping with a damp cloth is therefore not always good.The above damage to artificial leather can be exacerbated by perspiration and skin oil. When you keep a tidy record of this, you ensure that the moisture and fat percentages of the leather are maintained. New stains will be much easier to clean. Cleaning 'locally' may make this stain stand out. ∙ Always work a stain from the outside in and use as little pressure as possible. ∙ Let the cleanser's foam do the job. Apply the foam to the stain in circular motions and let it soak in briefly (do not let it dry completely). Then wipe the foam with a slightly damp cloth. Distilled water After you have cleaned a stain, we recommend that you clean the entire section with a slightly damp cloth. Use (preferably) no tap water. Not all tap water (in the Netherlands) has the same water hardness. By cleaning with tap water annoying lime edges can remain. These stains are very stubborn and sometimes cannot be removed.Therefore, get 1-2 liters of distilled water at home, this will prevent the formation of lime edges. It is available in almost every supermarket, or at the drugstore: also known as demineralised water. ---------- Example: "A nice toast with tapenade spilled on a leather couch" You know, on the couch on a Friday afternoon. A drink and of course a delicious toast with a tasty topping. And then.. Okay, what are you gonna do? Wipe away with the napkin, right? No! Follow these steps:∙ Remove any solids with a clean spoon. So the leftovers with toast and the fixed / coarse tapenade pieces. ∙ Walk to the kitchen and get the paper towel. Tear off a sheet and keep the tip of the sheet in the liquid. Let the paper soak up and throw it away. Repeat until almost all liquids have disappeared. ∙ Take the cleaner from your care kit. Do you not have these, or do you not have enough? Order it quickly. Ordered on working days will be shipped the same or the following day! ∙ Prepare two cleaning tubs / containers (a pan if necessary). Shake the cleaner well before use and pour about 1/4 in the first bowl. Take the distilled water and pour about 1/4 part into the second bowl. ∙ Use the sponge to squeeze a lot of foam into the bowl of cleaner. Then apply the foam to the leather. Use circular motions to distribute the foam evenly. Apply little to no pressure and let the foam do the work. Always work from the outside in and never just treat the stain, but always clean an entire section. ∙ Let the foam soak in briefly, but do not dry completely. Take a clean cloth and soak it in the distilled water. Squeeze the cloth and wipe the entire piece from seam to seam. Rinse the cloth and repeat until all the foam is gone. ∙ Repeat steps 5 and 6 if necessary and then let it dry well. Is the stain completely gone? Nice! But you will probably still see a dark spot. How come? Most tapenade also contains a bit of fat. Unfortunately, we cannot clean fat with water. Fortunately, there are two solutions for this:∙ Be patient! Open leathers (aniline, saddle, vintage, nubuck, etc.) have the property of absorbing small grease stains. This sometimes takes a few weeks. Therefore, take a picture of the grease stain. Put a timer in your diary and take another photo of exactly the same place in a week. Try to take the photo at the same time and with the same light. ∙ Repeat this every week for about 3-4 weeks and compare the photos. Does the stain become visibly less? Before concluding a distance contract, the entrepreneur has made the text of these General Terms and Conditions available on the website. The text of these General Terms and Conditions can be viewed electronically and they can be sent at the client´s request, free of charge, either via e-mail or otherwise; Article 4, offer If an offer is of limited duration or if certain conditions apply, it shall be explicitly stated in the offer. The offer contains a full and accurate description of the products and/or services offered. The description is suitably detailed to enable the client to assess the products or services adequately. Pictures are truthful images of the products and/or services provided. Obvious errors or mistakes in the offer do not bind the entrepreneur. All offers contain such information that it is clear to the client what rights and obligations are attached to accepting the offer. Article 5, the price All prices indicated in the webshop are including Dutch VAT. Article 6, contract The contract becomes valid when the client has accepted the offer and fulfilled the terms and conditions set. Article7, right of withdrawal The client can repudiate a purchase contract for a product without giving reasons for a period of reflection of 14 days. The entrepreneur may ask the client about the reason for the withdrawal but cannot force him to state his reason(s). The reflection period starts on the day the product is received by the client or by a third party appointed by him in advance and who is not the carrier, or if the client ordered several products in the same order: the day on which the client or a third party appointed by him received the last product. Article 8, client’s obligations during the time of reflection During this period, the client shall handle the product and the packaging with care. The client shall only unpack the product to the extent necessary for establishing the nature and the characteristics of the product. The guiding principle is that the client may only handle and inspect the product in the manner in which one is allowed to handle a product in a shop. Article 9, Exercising the client’s right of withdrawal and the costs If the client exercises his right of withdrawal he shall notify the entrepreneur unambiguously with the standard form for withdrawal within the period of reflection. The client shall return the product or deliver it to the entrepreneur as soon as possible but within 14 days counting from the day following the notification has been sent. The client shall return the product in the original state and packing and in conformity with the instructions given by the entrepreneur. The risk and the burden of proof for the correct and timely exercise of the right of withdrawal fall on the client. The client shall bear the direct costs of returning the product. Article 10, entrepreneur’s obligations in case of withdrawal The entrepreneur shall promptly send a return receipt after receiving notification of withdrawal.The entrepreneur shall reimburse all payments made by the client., including paid delivery costs as soon as possible but within 14 days following the day on which the Entrepreneur has received the product. The entrepreneur shall make use of the same means of payment that the client used, unless the client consents to another method. The reimbursement is free of charge for the client. If the client opted for a more expensive method of delivery instead of the cheapest standard delivery, the Entrepreneur need not reimburse the additional costs for the more expensive method. Article 11 - Exclusion of the right of withdrawal The Entrepreneur excludes the following products and services from the right of withdrawal: Products manufactured in accordance with the Client’s specifications which are not prefabricated and which are produced on the basis of a client’s individual choice of colour or mixture. Article 12 performance of an agreement The entrepreneur guarantees that the products and/or services comply with the agreement, with the specifications listed in the product description and manuals, with reasonable requirements of usability and/or reliability and with the existing statutory provisions and/or government regulations on the day the contract was concluded. The entrepreneur is not responsible for any damages that may occur due to wrong usage of the product or to not following the instructions/manuals. Article 13, delivery and execution The entrepreneur shall exercise the best possible care when booking orders and executing product orders and when assessing requests for the provision of services. The place of delivery is at the address given by the client to the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur shall execute accepted orders with convenient speed but at least within 30 days, unless another delivery period was agreed on. If the delivery has been delayed, or if an order cannot be filled or can be filled only partially, the client shall be informed about this within one month after ordering. In such cases, the client is entitled to repudiate the contract free of charge. The entrepreneur shall return the payment made by the client promptly but at least within 30 days after repudiation. The risk of loss and/or damage to products will be borne by the entrepreneur until the time of delivery to the client or a representative appointed in advance and made known to the client, unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Article 14, payment The following means of payment are available: credit card, pay pal, banktransfer, IDEAL and Mr cash. Article 16, complaints procedure Complaints about the performance of the contract shall be submitted fully and clearly described to the Entrepreneur within 2 days after the client discovered the defects. The complaints submitted to the Entrepreneur shall be replied within a period of 14 days after the date of receipt. Should a complaint require a foreseeable longer time for handling, the Entrepreneur shall respond within 14 days with a notice of receipt and an indication when the client can expect a more detailed reply. The usage of our products by the consumer is out of the entrepreneurs control. It is therefore that the entrepreneur cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur due to wrong usage and/or not following instructions or manuals.
