Tips:
The answers to your most frequently asked questions:
• What should I do if the artificial leather feels 'dry'?
You can use the Sedicur® Hydro fluid to keep your artificial leather supple. Use this product after cleaning with the Sedicur® cleaner. Let it dry well and then protect the artificial leather with the Sedicur® strong protector.
• Why do i have to clean again with distilled water?
In our step-by-step plans and advice we constantly refer to the use of distilled water, but why? Not all tap water (in the Netherlands) has the same water hardness. By cleaning with tap water, limescale can be left behind. This is very annoying, especially when you just put in allot of effort to clean a stain. Therefore, make sure to grab a liter of distilled water from your local supermarket or drug store.
• Did you know?
Artificial leather, or synthetic leather, is a collective term for textile products that, usually on one side, are finished with a synthetic layer that imitates the look of leather. This layer gives the product the appearance of leather and also some of its properties. The most commonly used plastic layers for artificial leather are polyurethane or PVC. There is a big difference in maintenance compared to real leather. Leather is an organic material that needs to be nourished and protected.
These nutrients are not necessary for artificial leather. In fact, they can damage the plasticizers in artificial leather. The same applies to home garden and kitchen cleaners. They are usually not suitable for artificial leather. The Sedicur® products have been specially developed for artificial leather and are recommended by leading manufacturers and furniture manufacturers.
